From beginning to end my experience buying a used truck at Serra was messy and left me uneasy. Yes, in the end, they made an effort to “make things right” and I bought a truck but I don’t feel good about it. First, the salesman did not know his product (“well, I can tell you my relative owns one and loves it!”.... that’s all he could say. Really?), and he was unaware of inventory he had on the lot until I told him. The worst part was when he “worked with his manager to get approval of the best price”. I agreed to the price and said I would give him a check by the end of the day. Deal agreed, right? Nope. A couple hours later a manager called to say the truck was already sold to someone else. The manager had been involved in proposing their “best price” to me so what was really going on? Sloppy operation at best. They then offered a discount on a different truck which I bought. Maybe it was a good deal? Who knows. The whole experience just failed to give me confidence in nor build my trust.
