I highly recommend you avoid this place (for employment) like the plague. Take it from someone who worked for Target for 7 years. This store is a horrible place.
If you've ever considered working here, I'm here to warn you not to. This store is one of the most toxic and horrible places to work EVER.
Target is awesome. This one isn't particularly clean or anything but the store in general is cool.
Contrary to what Target supposedly stands for, they do NOT embrace differences in their team. They want everyone to put 150% into a job where you will be mistreated, under-scheduled, and expected to everyone and their mothers jobs as well as your own. If the management does not like you, you WILL be pushed out.
The management is garbage. They got a new STL semi-recently (Store Team Lead) and she has pushed out all the leaders in hopes of putting her "besties" in their place and making them all cookie cutter leaders. If you work as a cashier, the senior GSTL who is named Holly will treat you like you're worthless, be condescending, and will harass you. She is a horrible person, inside and out. She deserves to be fired for how disgusting of a person she is. However, she has sucked enough of the management's dick at that Target that she will never be fired.
I wish this store wasn’t so convenient to shop at or I wouldn’t ever be back. One shopping trip I made, I purchased some furniture. Both pieces of furniture had the yellow team lift stickers on them. Not one employee had offered to grab them off the shelf for me. Then, I am making my way to the registers, struggling to even push the cart. No help. People, I am pregnant!! I finally make it to the registers where instead of the guy coming around to scan the items, he makes me lift them up so he can scan them. I pay for my things and am waiting for someone to help me carry them to my car and help load the items up. The man didn’t even offer! I got home and called the corporate Target offices. It took 2 months for the store manager to call to apologize for the events of that day!! That is unacceptable. No one at Target is about customer service. They just stick their heads down and it’s all about work. That’s not true customer service. You should be treated like a human being by employees of any company when you walk into a store. I understand that the employees have jobs to do but a simple, “Hi, need any help?” would be appreciated.
The new employee, Jared tried to help me. The product I wanted was out of stock. When I first walked up there was 3 employees standing around talking. They all walked away without helping me. I was buying a camera 2 of them I was told were phone people. It was very poor customer service. They should have offered to help me even if it wasn't their department. This store would be the last resort for me to shop at again.
This is my favorite store. But I am becoming disheartened with them because out is not the coupon friendly store it used to be. And they are going with larger sizes and double packs on items. So while this a good store, I am just not as enamored with it like I used to be.
