We purchased a stove from Sears in Traverse City & come to find out it had a broken valve. Sears does absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. They proceed to tell us that if we had bought the extended warranty they could send someone out to look.... IT IS A BRAND NEW STOVE - a product they are selling, but if you don't purchase a the extended warranty they do not stand behind it. Ridiculous! They then refer us to GE, which is a other run-around. Bottom line they do not stand behind their products. Around the same time we purchased New tires from the auto department. The package we purchased came with an alignment. Currently, they do not have a mechanic, so to get the alignment included in our package, they recommend we drive two and a half hours to the next sears to get it. Now, I know its not just me, but that is absurd and unreasonable to ask. They were unwilling to give us a credit for the amount of just the alignment or cash back to pay for it elsewhere. Won't be going back.
Women's depth manager was rude and disrespectful to me. Her name was Kathy. The clerk/cashier was polite and extremely helpful. I was tempted to cancel my purchase, but realized ut was not the fault of the cashier. The manager said she had to go help another customer. It did not matter that she was helping me. She didn't want to help me.
Tim in lawn and garden was not helpful at all. For every single question I had it meant getting put on hold for 2-3 minutes so he could find the answer. One of the times he put me on hold and didn't even let me finish explaining the reason for my question. I'll take my money elsewhere.
It sucked! NO STARS, BUT WONT TAKE IT! I am handicapped and the store has only push baskets. I don't go there often, if ever, because both of my knees need full replacements. I got all I needed about $115 worth of clothes for my husband, but TWICE TRIED TO CHECK OUT IN OVER AND HOUR. NO OTHER ASSOCIATES CAME IN SHOES THOUGH I stood, recognized by the lady, for 20 mins at front register in jewelry. I then had to sit in the shoe department, because I couldn't stand anymore after shopping and leaning on cart to help me. MIND U THIS AREA IN SHOES COULD BE DIRECTLY SEEN FROM THE COUNTER CHECKOUT! I Waited for the woman to stop running her mouth for a total of 30 mins, when she took another customer after the other one, and walked away from behind the counter on opposite side. I know she could see me she made eye contact at me in shoes. I tried the second time again. After 15 mins of standing again. I was in severe pain by then, and the lady saw me because the second customer, said something to her. I had to give up and sit in shoes again, before they called the assistance over the intercom. Well 5 people came and went, before I could stand again. They left, and the assistance lady left. The original woman came back to the register by then. The same woman starts yakking away a longtime,15 mins, trying to sell her some jewelry with her stuff from elsewhere, to the a lady customer that made it up there, before I could get up and cross the floor. I hesitated watching for another several mins. Others filed in behind her waiting to check out, like 6-7 people suddenly came up in that time. So, being I had only the strength to make it to my car, on my cane left, and was over the top in pain, having pain sweats, and totally pissed off. I rolled the cart of stuff in front of the counter and took my cane and wallet, THEN WALKED OUT. I would have had to walk all the way to the back of store to checkout there then walk all the way to the front AGAIN! I will never shop there again, and now know why I never should have to begin with. YOU PEOPLE HAVE TOO FEW PEOPLE ON CHECK OUT AND NO WONDER, HARD SELL THE FEW YOU DO HAVE ON CUSTOMERS. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TAKEN KMART. IT SCREWED YOUR STORE UP AND YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY MORE PEOPLE. DUH! I HATE YOUR STORE.
Very poor customer service!
Appliances mattresses awesome selection on a great sale!
