The only thing that we had an issue with was a cleaning lady who kept telling us that she had complaints about our group that was there. She said we were super loud Saturday night and that people were complaining. She acted like she owned the place, our group wasn't loud. It was avout her group they had there, even our neighbors said ur definitely wasn't us. I would steer clear of this cleaning lady.
I happened to run into a worker as we were packing up to leave the next day. I approached him to let him know my concerns, and quickly realized this was apparently all my fault. He starts to tell me how this wasn't an appropriate site for my vehicle. (Like I had a choice) And he goes on to tell me about how his hookups are extra long and could handle this site. He treated me rudely, never introduced himself or apologized. His response was "Hope you have a better day." (Attitude included)
My wife and I loved this campground, the sites, the atmosphere, everyone was having fun but being respectful of each other. Very pet and family friendly. I loved the happy hour fire truck, #1 in Traverse City
I recently visit Timber Ridge for the Iceman event and it went perfectly! Was very well organized and the facility was clean.
Location was a short drive to downtown Travis City. The campground was nicely filled with lots of trees and the streets were paved. The rental house was very nice. The exterior was updated and the interior was very nice as well. Great place to stay!
There were many open sites that would have been better, but their office closed at 6pm so we couldn't change sites. I left a voicemail but didn't get a reply.
Just had my wedding here. Almost everyone who came stayed at the campground. I heard nothing but great things the whole weekend. I wish some of us had been able to be a bit closer but it all worked out in the end. The hall was amazing and beautiful, the cabin that we stayed it was amazing as well. If i could have taken it home with me i would have totally lived in it. The staff was great, Brian who works the front desk kept me calm with all the questions I had. He also was great with my nephews, I think we talked his ear off.
1 star for the potential of the place. A lot of fun opportunities for kids. (Which you will pay extra for) Unfortunately we had a bad experience that could've been avoided if given a more appropriate site for our RV and given good customer service. We paid $60 for a very poor site layout on very uneven gravel and sand. Hookups were 30+ feet apart so our 20 ft cable couldn't reach the hookup. (And cable is $10 extra which is ridiculous) Sewer hose was fully extended and running uphill. Patio concrete slab couldn't be used because of where we had to park to make hookups. The area that became our patio area was a rugged slope that became a stream bed when it rained hard that evening.
They also didn't mention all laundry facilities were out of order when we checked in. It was something we really needed after being on the road for a week. This is an amenity you pay for and expect to be working at a place like this.
TRIP #2 UPDATE
Additionally, the bathrooms/showers were not very nice. Moldy, mildew ridden and not clean. For $60 you could be staying at a luxury motor coach property. Avoid this place if you value your hard-worked dollar and proper respect.
We went back for labor day! And the experience was even better than the last, the campground was fun and hopping and got quite as a mouse later into the evening, I have honestly never been to a more respectful campground in my life. My wife and I don't have kids yet but when we do we shall certainly come back with them. There are soooooooo many things for them to do. If your kid is bored here then they themselves are boring. Our friends came for their second time and likewise enjoyed every single minute. One of the best parts was playing dodgeball with adults at night, makes you feel like a kid again. Michigan's #1!
