The negative review of Shannon Saunders and her knowledge and ability, along with the trashing of Discover Massage and Baker by a previous reviewer was obviously done by someone who is a competitor. Shannon is wonderful, knowledgeable, and has been very effective in treating me for the pain and swelling caused by lymphedema. She has even gone so far as to seek out MORE training for better and different techniques to treat my issue. Thanks to her and Advance Chiropractic next door, I'm off of most of my pain meds. I highly recommend her.
There is not a rating low enough for this facility. I had an appointment booked and walked out after a horrible welcome from a Baker Instructor named Shannon that works there. Shannon and the receptionist (who apparently didn't know what type of therapist Shannon is) were uneducated and unprofessional. Having done massage therapy for many years myself I feel terrible that some folks receive this sort of treatment and think it is the norm. Do not get a massage from this woman and more importantly not your massage education.
I tried Discovery Massage for the first time and had a nice experience. Kiara was my therapist and she was so sweet and knowledgable. I would definitely recommend her.
I have had a number of massages at Discover and I can't thanked the therapist enough. I have had massage by both Shannon and Kiara. Both are great. Shannon is very knowledgeable and a skilled. She is truly one of the best therapist I have ever worked with. I would recommend if you need a massage to go to Discover and try either Shannon or Kiara. Both are amazing at what they do.
I have sciatica that is only helped by therapeutic massage. I've been to Discover several times and have had two different therapists. Both were great! They acknowledged my back issues and worked the problem areas. When I left, my back was much better and the effects lasted several weeks. I'll be back!
