Awful service. I scheduled an appointment to have my winter tires put on 9 days in advance. I show up at my appointment time and was told it had been canceled the day before because they were behind. Nobody had notified me and I was told they couldn't get me in for another week. What a joke this place is.
This automotive department is very poorly run. Last time I went for my oil change they did not tighten the oil plug tight enough and put the wrong plug in as well ( an Allen type versus the metric type), why they didn't just put the one they took out is bad enough. So when I went somewhere else for my next oil change they would not even touch my car as there was oil leaking around the gasket, so back to Sears I went. Then I waited for 3 hrs. while they changed my oil. The manager was not there but an assistant manager was. I waited for initial service for several mins. but the help( all 2 of them were outside smoking) and I had to go outside to ask them if they worked in the auto dept. Besides the poor service and not enough help, I had been driving around with my oil a whole quart down due to the error and I'm lucky ( I hope) that it did not damage my engine. In their defense, they had let the guy go who had last worked on my car and the did have a knowledgeable mechanic there. Waiting 3 hours is crazy and there were other people there also who could not even find anybody around and they were just there to pick up their vehicle. Needless to say, they have lost my business and they should shut this dept. down if they can't hire enough competent people to staff it. My advise- don't go there!
Paid to get 4 new tires put on and they told me I needed 5 new lug nuts so I paid for them but they also put on 5 old lug nuts on one wheel and when I went to switch the tires 2 of the wheel studs broke off because of the old lug nuts that shouldn't of been put on the car.. when I went in they said they couldn't do anything for me except give me $25 back for the 5 lug nuts I bought. I will never shop here again no wonder why they are going out of business!
Terrible experience in auto department and with online service. I used to buy my tires here every time. Never again. Worst service and technology ever. My order was cancelled twice and charged wrong and then they couldn't even find my order. When I call the store, no answer, it rings forever and goes to a machine. Finally get a call back, what an idiot. I was better off talking to the machine.
Tami and staff were very helpful when I came to them with failed brakes while in town for a wedding. It was nearing to closing time but they helped me out of a bad situation. I am thankful for them helping me. I cannot recommend them enough.
