A great little place, good food, interesting odds and ends. Done in prep Staff/facility is limited and can get overwhelmed by a crowd, but who needs to hurry? Relax and enjoy!
Sometimes certain things aren't available. But they have a great selection of different sauces and salsas! I will be going there again the next time I'm in town!
Quirky piece of history with some colorful characters. Great spot to relax with good food. If they are busy it takes time, but what do they say...you want right now or you want it right. Slow down and take it all in.
The best corned beef sandwich I have EVER had. Seriously big enough for two. The corned beef was actually pulled and was dilectable. The atmosphere was similar to that of Ike Godsey's store in the Walton's series. General store and Mercantile. When the leaves are in full bloom it will be the go too place on the Old Mission Peninsula. Sit back swing soda pop, (multiple kinds) and soak up "the good ole days" while playing checkers or cats in the cradle, without you silver spoon.
This place is such a gem. You can feel the history there when you walk in. The owner was so pleasant. We bought some horseradish cheese spread that was too die for. We will definitely have to go back to have lunch next time we are up there.
