Paid $15 for a copy of my birth certificate and was informed I could even get my passport application processes and my passport photo taken if I visit the desk 5ft away. Mind you it's 4:15pm and the office closes at 5pm.
The lady working the passport desk informed me they "usually" stop processing passports at 330pm. I challenge you to find these hours posted anywhere. Lady seemed agitated she was being asked to work. I walked in with a great positive attitude, and left deflated.
Needed to get a copy of my birth certificate, and was expecting it to be a lengthy process. I put 30 minutes on the parking meter, but used 7. The staff was fast and friendly, I was impressed.
I was told I could come back Monday...
1 star for blatant rude service. Maybe this person was having a bad day.
Made a special trip from Grand Rapids and worked remotely all day so I could visit the county clerk for a new passport.
Now I get to use more of my time and resources to have my photo taken, and send everything in.
