The Family Fare typically has whatever item I am looking for and offers my family convenience. Given the convenience, I'd say that the prices are fair. They do not properly staff their cash registers, leading to long lines and stressed, unfriendly employees.
Great little store that has most everything you need. I'm willing to spend the few extra $ over the big box stores to have friendly service. My two young boys love the free popcorn as well :)
I was locked out of my vehicle today at the gas station with my three year old granddaughter still buckled in her car seat. Two managers and Ian from pharmacy came out to help me. I am so thankful for the young man who let me use his phone to call my husband. So here is a Big shout out to the Family Fare employees you went out of your way to help me today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Good selection. A little higher priced than some other grocery store but they have a good meat selection and nice deli. Great selection of beer, wine, and spirits.
Double charged debit card for groceries! This past Friday the self serve register charged my debit card twice for the same transaction and it took several phone calls as well as emails from my bank to get the Spartan corporate office to agree to refund the extra charge. I will never use a debit or credit card there again. Going three days with a negative balance in my checking account was enough to turn me off of that store. I really like the cashiers and the manager at the store, he was very nice about everything, but the Spartan corporation is pretty corrupt to double charge people for an entire grocery order and spend three days denying it before finally putting it back.
