The congregation has counted on him for leadership in many aspects and he has been there wthout fail. We are about to loose him by decision of the Bishop of our diocese. Needless to say we are all heart broken and devastated by this announcement. I pray and ask God who is most powerful then anyone on this earth to take possesion of this matter. Father Ken's heart is here with his church family and if God see's fit here he will remain.
When you attend this church the priest treats you like family and always reminds us that we are loved.
We are visitors from another parish down south. The music was amazing! Very joyful and uplifting. My husband said it brought tears to his eyes he was overcome by the Holy Spirit! Fantastic pianist! We really enjoyed it! My 12 year old son said he liked the "happy church". Congregation vey warm and friendly.

Our pastor is Father Kenneth Stachnik,a genuine apostle and human being. He has brought back to the church many fallen away Catholics by his love of God and his beautiful ministry as a priest. In my lifetime I have never met a priest more fitted for his vocation. His energy is endless in ALL that he does for God's request to "love one another".He continually has extended his arms to all of the community never ceasing to make each person count. He has always made time for someone in need of his help no matter how long his list was for the day.
This is my parish along with approximately 1999 other members. We accomodate many visitors from around the world who are always very much welcomed.
We visited while in Traverse City and went to 11:00 mass. Father Ken was a true disciple of Christ and gave a beautiful sermon. The music was uplifting and beautiful!! The people were friendly. So glad we went!! God is good!!
